Hey guys! I’m in a very dire and stupid situation at the moment…. I am presently unemployed and I just moved to a whole other state. I also acquired a pretty hefty fine during the process of moving, a fine I truly cannot afford at the moment.

Can you tell us more about the plot of «A Machine for Pigs»? What can you say about Oswald Mandus, the main character of the game?

It’s hard to say too much without giving it all away. You are a rich Victorian industrialist at the turn of the new century, awaking from terrible nightmares and fever to find your children are missing. The game is essentially your search to find them. With Mandus, we’ve tried to create a really deep and rounded character, without the kind of black and white personality and morality you normally get in games. A character the player can identify with. I think that identification is really super important to a deep and nerve-shredding horror.

As far as we know, the game takes place in Victorian London. How you will reflect this period in AMFP? Will we meet famous personalities of that time in the game?

Oh, no famous people directly. But there are many many clues to the deeper story of Pigs if you read carefully and know a little about Victorian history, people and ideas of the time. We spent a long time trying to make sure the inquisitive player would be rewarded, that there would be lots of story to uncover and puzzle over.

What are the main changes in game mechanics and filing story in AMFP in comparison with «The Dark Descent»?

Again, don’t want to give too much away for players, but let me put it this way. If you have played Amnesia, don’t worry, we haven’t wrecked the core feeling of gameplay. But if you try and play it the same way, there might be some nasty surprises!

When do you plan to release «A Machine for Pigs»?

It’s not up to us, but Frictional and if you ask them, I expect they will say «when it’s done.» Right now, they are doing lots of optimization work, making sure it runs well on lots of machines, finding bits we missed, tweaking sound, gameplay, events… In essence it is done, but it’s brilliant to know your game is getting a second pass by the best horror studio in the business.

and then people are actually surprised when they find out i dont care about like anything at all

its just easier to joke and be nice

If it were up to me, I would spend the majority of my time in silence. However, this will not happen anytime soon. As an added note, why do people touch me? It’s disgusting. Don’t put your hands on me unless you are my close friend.

I wonder if people will ever realize that I’m not an idiot. I don’t think that will happen anytime soon, however, seeing as how my close friends treat me as if I am mentally deficient a good chunk of the time.

I sort of want to scream, “I don’t care.”. Just loud enough so that someone understands that I’m not this sensitive and weak pathetic lump.

I’m Alexandra, known as Alex, and still treated as if I don’t have a functioning brain.

I watched my mom almost die twice, I sat there as my little brother was taken away from me, I scratched myself and put cocoa butter on it later. I was homeless for a year and a half, from the time I was thirteen up until several months ago. I woke up at 4:30 in the morning every single day and began walking in the dark at 5:15 to reach the bus stop at 6:30 so I could get to school.

I’ve never let emotions be a big part of my life. I am proud of the fact that I’m emotionally cold. I enjoy complete and total apathy.

I’ve won several academic awards and I’m still not respected. If I had to say, I think my biggest sin would be pride. Without a doubt. I can’t stand others looking down on me, nor setting themselves above me.

I’m tired of trying to act nicer than I am just because it’s more convenient for me. I’m tired of being disrespected. I’m tired of being treated like a child.

I’m going to fight for my respect. I don’t care what I have to do.
